Meet our newest Physio Michael Gray, or Mike as he prefers. He’s a Gumdale local and has joined our expanding team this month!

Which uni did you attend?

ACU – Australian Catholic University in Brisbane

What additional qualifications have you gained?

I’m a certified Nutritionist and Sports Trainer (Level 1 sports trainer, Cert I Nutrition)

What do you love about your role?

The ability to help people in overcoming injury and living a healthy lifestyle.

What do you wish all your patients knew?

Exercises prescribed by a physio are very important.

In order to maximise the benefit of getting treatment, it’s important to keep up with your exercises!

What did you want to be when you were a child?

Palaeontologist / Professional cricket player

What would you do if you weren’t a Physio?

I’d still be in the health field and think I’d be a Doctor

Where did you grow up?

Born in Durham, North Carolina, USA. Moved to Australia in 1998 and have lived in Gumdale ever since.

Tell us one thing about yourself that your patients would be surprised to know?

I wear size 16 shoes

What charities do you support and why?

Children’s Hospital Foundation – Helping sick children is a great cause and is always in need of donations.

What’s your favourite holiday destination and why?

Noosa – Great beaches, national parks and community.
